Deutsche Migrantinnen und Migranten in Argentinien: Ein historischer Beitrag zur Migrationsdebatte.Deutsche, österreichische sowie schweizer Einwanderinnen und Einwanderer bildeten eine heterogene Gemeinde im Herzen der Metropole Buenos Aires. Sie entwickelten eine gemeinsame Erinnerungskultur, die ihnen Orientierung und Identität gab. Doch sie stritten auch aufgrund unterschiedlicher politischer Überzeugungen über verschiedene Deutungen der Geschichte. Die Autorin lässt die Prozesse der Aneignung von Geschichtsbildern innerhalb der Migrantengemeinde, die Entwicklung einer Meistererzählung und das Scheitern von geschichtspolitischen Projekten deutlich werden. Trotz vieler Bezüge zu den Herkunftsländern der Einwanderinnen und Einwanderer war ihre Erinnerungskultur stark von den Gegebenheiten in Argentinien und der Heterogenität ihrer Gemeinde abhängig.
