Der ITS bewahrt in seinem von der UNESCO als Weltdokumentenerbe anerkannten Archiv Millionen Unterlagen zu Überlebenden von Holocaust, Zwangsarbeit und NS-Verfolgung.Die Forschungs- und Bildungsabteilung des International Tracing Service (ITS) entwickelt seit 2009 Projekte zu verschiedenen Themenschwerpunkten.Der vorliegende Band beschäftigt sich mit den Displaced Persons (DPs) - jenen Menschen, die als Überlebende der NS-Verfolgung und des Holocaust von den Alliierten befreit wurden. Im ITS-Archiv befinden sich sehr unterschiedliche Dokumente zu den DPs: Registrierungen, Auswanderungsgesuche und umfassende Darstellungen ihrer Verfolgungsgeschichte bis hin zu Passagierlisten, die von ihrem Neuanfang in den USA, Israel, Australien oder Südamerika zeugen.Das vorliegende Jahrbuch begleitet zugleich die Wanderausstellung des ITS zu den Displaced Persons.
