Dieses Buch verschafft einen Überblick über die Produktbeobachtungspflicht. Zur Erfüllung dieser Pflicht kommen als Gefahrabwendungsmaßnahmen insbesondere Warnungen und Rückrufe des Produkts in Betracht. Neben den dogmatischen Grundlagen behandelt der Autor auch Art und Ausmaß sowie etwaige Folgen einer Verletzung der Produktbeobachtungspflicht bzw. US-amerikanischen post-sale duties. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden Unterschiede, aber auch Gemeinsamkeiten beider Rechtssysteme in diesem produkthaftungsrechtlichen Teil erläutert. Im Ergebnis sollte zumindest eine Warnung vor den Produktgefahren ausgesprochen werden, während der Rückruf des Produkts die ultima ratio bleiben und nicht zum Regelfall werden sollte.
