Das Buch verfolgt ein zweigeteiltes Forschungsinteresse. Zum einen soll anhand literaturdidaktischer Fachzeitschriften rekonstruiert werden, welche jeweils zeitgenössischen Werke aus dem Bereich der Gegenwartsprosa von Literaturdidaktikerinnen und -didaktikern zwischen 1948 und 1959 sowie zwischen 1965 und 1975 fĂŒr den Deutschunterricht ausgewĂ€hlt werden. Die zweite Frage zielt auf die PrĂ€zisierung der im ersten Schritt gewonnenen Befunde: Welche Legitimationsmuster werden seitens der Fachdidaktik zur BegrĂŒndung der Auswahl gewĂ€hlt? Die Antworten hierauf können sowohl die Resonanz auf die jeweils zeitgenössische Literatur quantitativ nachweisen als auch die den Empfehlungsdiskurs konstituierenden rhetorischen Strategien offenlegen.
