Heute bildet die Türkei mit ihrer wachsenden Wirtschaft und der hohen Anzahl in Deutschland lebender Türken einen wichtigen Handelspartner. Die Forschungsstelle für Türkisches Recht hat im Mai 2013 die Tagung Die Türkei und Deutschland in Europa veranstaltet.
