In der FrĂŒhen Neuzeit kam es durch die Rezeption des römischen Rechts in Deutschland zu einer Umgestaltung des Rechtssystems. Die Anwender des neuen Rechts waren oftmals nicht universitĂ€r ausgebildete Laien, fĂŒr die lehrbuchartige Texte auf Deutsch verfasst wurden. Zwei dieser Rechtsquellen – der Klagspiegel Conrad Heydens und der Laienspiegel Ulrich Tenglers – werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit in einem interdisziplinĂ€ren Forschungsansatz hinsichtlich ihrer sprachlichen Gestaltung sowohl qualitativ als auch quantitativ ausgewertet. Dabei werden die BemĂŒhungen um eine ĂŒberregionale VerstĂ€ndlichkeit und die Etablierung juristischer Fachtermini, die Verwendung von Paarformeln und Handlungsanweisungen fĂŒr die Rede vor Gericht sowie die lĂ€ngerfristige Entwicklung der Texte beleuchtet.
