A partir del año 2016, además, han comenzado a publicarse los diarios inéditos del autor. La figura de José Donoso se modifica y recompone tras conocerse la nueva información. Ahora puede conocerse mejor la vida de José Donoso, su modo de trabajo, sus proyectos, conclusos o inconclusos, y sus muchas y varias fuentes de inspiración.
