I tre moschettieri (Les trois mousquetaires) è un romanzo d'appendice scritto dal francese Alexandre Dumas con la collaborazione di Auguste Maquet nel 1844 e pubblicato originariamente a puntate sul giornale Le Siècle. È uno dei romanzi più famosi e tradotti della letteratura francese e ha dato inizio ad una trilogia, che comprende Vent'anni dopo (1845) e Il visconte di Bragelonne (1850).
I tre moschettieri del titolo sono Athos, Porthos e Aramis, a cui poi si aggiunge il protagonista del romanzo, D'Artagnan. Alexandre Dumas padre (Villers-Cotterêts, 24 luglio 1802 – Puys, località di Dieppe, 5 dicembre 1870) è stato uno scrittore drammaturgo francese. Maestro del romanzo storico e del teatro romantico, ebbe un figlio omonimo, Alexandre Dumas, anch'egli scrittore. Le sue ceneri furono trasferite al Panthéon di Parigi il 30 novembre 2002. È famoso soprattutto per i capolavori Il conte di Montecristo e la trilogia dei moschettieri formata da I tre moschettieri, da Vent'anni dopo e da Il visconte di Bragelonne.
