In diesen Grenzbereichen sucht der Autor, Referent für Redekunst/Rhetorik am Zentrum für evangelische Predigtkultur, deshalb, inspiriert von seinen langjährigen Erfahrungen mit homiletischer Theorie und Praxis, nach diesen theologischen Gedankenspuren. Er verlässt dabei die sorgsam umzäunten Vorgärten der Zunft, verfolgt die Wanderungen der Gedanken, dokumentiert ihre Abbrüche, Veränderungen und Wiederholungen und plädiert insgesamt für eine Ausweitung des Begriffs der "Theologie".
