Anhand biographischer und forschungsgeschichtlicher Analysen werden die Voraussetzungen und Schwierigkeiten ebenso wie die Relevanz der biblischen Auslegungen in ihren jeweiligen Zeiten aufgezeigt. Themen wie Biblische Theologie, die AnfÀnge der Religionsgeschichtlichen Schule oder Exegese wÀhrend des Dritten Reiches werden aus verschiedenen Perspektiven betrachtet. Die historischen Zugangsweisen zeichnen die Entstehung, Etablierung und den Ertrag der Exegese im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert nach. Systematisch- und praktisch-theologische Perspektiven runden das Bild ab. [Exegesis in its Time] This volume highlights the interpretation of New Testament texts in various epochs. On the basis of biographical analyses and analyses concerning the history of research, the premises and difficulties as well as the relevance of biblical interpretation in the respective eras will be shown. Topics such as "Biblical Theology", the beginnings of the religionsgeschichtliche Schule or exegesis in the times of the Third Reich will be approached from different angles. The historical approaches retrace the development, establishment and gain of exegesis in the 19th and 20th century. Systematic theology contributes to this volume by examining the relationship between Bible reading and Dogmatics resp. Ethics.
