Ergänzend zum ersten Teilband dieser Publikation stellt dieser Band eine Edition ausgewählter Rechtsquellen vom Zeitalter der Reformation bis zum Ende der Monarchie aus dem gesamten Reußenland dar. Zu diesen Quellen zählen unter anderem Visitationsordnungen, der reußische Geschlechtsrezess, Kirchen- und Schulordnungen, Regierungsbekanntmachungen und Schulgesetze, an denen sich zwei Entwicklungsstränge verdeutlichen. Zum Ersten zeigt sich, dass von 1533 bis 1918 ein enges und wechselhaftes Verhältnis zwischen Staat, Kirche und Volksschule im Thüringer Vogtland bestand, und zum Zweiten, dass sich aus rechtlicher Perspektive ab 1533 eine kontinuierliche Entwicklung vom unregelmäßigen "Schule-Halten" bis hin zu einem institutionalisierten Schulsystem mit professionalisiertem Lehrerstand verfolgen lässt.In addition to the first part of the publication the second part collects different sources of law from the 16th until the 20th century as witnesses for the historic development of the relationship between the institutions state, church and public school in the so called "Thüringer Vogtland".
