Die Telekommunikationsbranche in Deutschland hat sich seit ihrer Liberalisierung als einer der dynamischsten MĂ€rkte in vielerlei Hinsicht gezeigt. Ein Bereich jedoch, in dem die Liberalisierung keine Dynamik entfaltet hat, ist der TeilnehmeranschluĂbereich, die sogenannte Letzte Meile. Dort ist die EinfĂŒhrung von Wettbewerb aufgrund der vertikalen Integration des ehemaligen Monopolisten erheblich erschwert worden. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist, die Problematik der 'Letzten Meile' aus technischer und netzökonomischer Sicht zu analysieren, eine Marktabgrenzung vorzunehmen sowie das Wettbewerbspotential zu untersuchen. Dabei setzt sich die Untersuchung insbesondere mit Netzzugangsregelungen theoretisch auseinander. Zudem wird ein kurzer Einblick in die Regulierungspraxis gegeben, die aus einer politökonomischen Perspektive kritisch beleuchtet wird.
