Die Arbeit untersucht die Bedeutung von Kindern fĂŒr eine umlagefinanzierte Rentenversicherung. Nach einer Thematisierung grundsĂ€tzlicher Fragestellungen wird fĂŒr verschiedene «Idealtypen» von Umlageverfahren der jeweilige «materielle» Wert von Kindern verdeutlicht. AnschlieĂend erfolgt eine Simulation der distributiven Wirkungen einer BerĂŒcksichtigung «generativer Leistungen». Die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse werden dann zu einer Beurteilung der BerĂŒcksichtigung der Kindererziehung im gegenwĂ€rtigen deutschen Rentenrecht herangezogen.
