Il Trattato di Lisbona, entrato in vigore il 1° dicembre 2009, ha attribuito valore vincolante alla Carta dei diritti fondamentali dell'Unione europea: si è così ulteriormente perfezionato in Europa quel sistema "multilivello" di protezione dei diritti delle persone avviato con l'istituzione del Consiglio d'Europa e la stipulazione nel lontano 1950 della Convenzione europea dei diritti dell'uomo. Per contribuire a far meglio conoscere questa nuova dimensione del diritto la Fondazione Basso ha partecipato a un progetto europeo con un ciclo di seminari. Le "lezioni" che hanno introdotto i seminari sono pubblicate in questo volume.Le Traité de Lisbonne, entré en vigueur le 1er décembre 2009, a conféré un caractère contraignant à la Charte des droits fondamentaux de l'Union Européenne: c'est ce qui a permis de perfectionner en Europe le système "multiniveaux" de protection des droits des individus, lancé avec l'institution du Conseil de l'Europe et la signature – en 1950 – de la Convention européenne des droits de l'homme. Afin de contribuer à faire mieux connaître cette nouvelle dimension du droit, la Fondazione Basso a participé à un projet européen autour d'un cycle de séminaires. Les "leçons" introductives des séminaires sont publiées dans le présent volume.The Lisbon Treaty, which entered into force on 1 December 2009, made the Charter of Fundamental Rights legally binding, thus further enhancing Europe's "multilayered" system of protection of individual rights, which began with the ' establishment of the Council of Europe and the signing, back in 1950, of the European Convention on Human Rights. To help raise awareness of this new legal dimension the Fondazione Basso participated in a European project with a series of seminars. The "lectures" which introduced the seminars are published in this volume.
