About This Book

The title Gems is unique within itself. The poetry displays deep thoughts that causes one to think of the known as well as the unknown. I chose Gems for my title because I feel that every one of my poems is as a collection of fine stones. As one reads a poem, I want the experience to be as one who gazed upon a fine gem. As with Gems, the quality of some poems will be better than others. It is my sincere desire that my readers will experience the same pleasure and satisfaction as a gem collector would receive when he gazes upon a rare stone. I pray to God that you will read this book of Gems.

Opera Millennium (Part 1) The Prophet
All you people hear my voice; the Lord does come now, make your choice. The time of judgment it shall arise, then shall fire fall from the blackened skies. Another day to live in sin, why should you hesitate, Soon the troubles shall began and death shall seal your fate.
All you people hear my voice; the Lord does come now, make your choice. Come now, you people, and repent, come and hear the prophets call. Oh, soon shall come the dreadful day, when the stars above shall fall. Another day will pass away, and sunlight then shall fade. I pray your sins will fade with it, and peace with God be made.
All you people hear my voice, the Lord does come now, make your choice. The dragon’s tail shall draw the stars down to the earth below, out of his mouth shall come a flood, great tidal waves shall flow. Still another day you do not repent, yet in the streets I cry. The earth beneath you shall soon be moved, and all who have sinned shall die.
Opera Millennium (Part 2) The Fowls of the Apocalypses
A raven sat upon a limb, was he who first did eat. The horsemen go throughout the land, the Holy Grail to seek. In that day the truth made known, yet hell came swiftly down, and men as timely autumn leaves lay dead upon the ground. Their homes besieged and burned to dust, their women raped and killed; Dead carcasses thrown to the fowl, until their hearts were filled. Hear the words this fowl did speak, and see the battle great. Come and see the armies sent from hell, and what shall be man’s fate.
Oh, who is like the Holy God? What armies can withstand, the power of the Lamb of God, the sword held in his hand?
Shall heaven meet with hell in war, upon the earth so great? Shall Satan move across this land, and what shall be man’s fate? God shall decide the fate of man, and even those from hell. Satan’s armies cannot stand, but quickly they shall fail.
Oh, who shall avenge the earth below, and who shall cleanse the slate? Who shall bring peace to this land, and what shall be man’s fate? Did I hear a mighty host preparing now to fight? So did I see a mighty star come down with brilliant light? So great was the star that fell to earth that it waxed the mountains high. Then did the darkness fall on men, so did it fill the sky.
A plague poured out on all the land, no food, no wine to drink. Every soul did fall by dusk; to hell their hearts did sink. Now a king sits on a throne, and he the prince of hell. The saints of God did war with him, yet did they not prevail. A mark now placed on every man, they stand in line and wait. A mark then placed on every hand, now what shall be man’s fate?
Lo! The armies of the lord prepare themselves to fight. God’s holy angels do come down, they move as beams of light. Above the earth, below the earth, Gods’ armies stand and wait. Lo! A mighty trumpet sounds, now what shall be man’s fate?
The heavens then did open up, and Christ did come with power. A sword preceding out of his mouth, the beast it did devour. Into the raging lake of fire the beast was then thrown down. His armies then slaughtered by the sword, lay dead upon the ground. Now the evil and the good the lord does separate. The wicked cast to fires of hell and what shall be man’s fate? God does decide the fate of man, he judges from on high. His stewards he has placed throughout this land, his thorn in midst the sky.
The raven sat upon a limb, and God did give him might. He did sit and eat the flash of kings, and vanish in the night. A thousand years shall pass away, and then shall he return, to see the devil cast into hell forever there to burn.
Opera Millennium (Part 3) Death Walks
Death walks by night, he bears a candle that gives no light. A blackened cloak about his head, from hell below he calls the dead.
Death walks by night, and in the darkness brings his plight. With sorrow tight in his left hand, a sword death bears for every man.
Death rules the night, in every home he shows his might. In the shadows of the day, death takes our blessed love ones away.
No compassion has he, for not one soul has death set free. Yet God above having the power to save calls whom he will back from the grave.
Death walks by night, his feet are bound with shackles tight. His eyes are cold and fiery red, a blackened cloak about his head.
Upon death’s hand an emerald ring, a life to take, a plague to bring. He wears a long black robe that drapes the ground, his cry a sad and mournful sound.
Death knows no grief, nor shall we find in him relief. Death brings war, famine, disease, and flood, that he may drench his cloak in blood.
Death brings storms, earthquakes, and drought, seeking the weak, and driving them out. He brings sadness, torment and tears; he has haunted our souls throughout the years.
Yet in the end, death shall not stand, great God shall drive him from our land. In that day, there light shall be, as from death’s plagues we are set free. No more death’s bitter sting we bear, when life and light shall rule the air.
Opera Millennium (Part 4) From Dawn to Dusk
The morn does come and God with it, dark shadows do retreat. God’s sun shall bring its golden light, and holy rays so sweet. They shall kiss the flowers and make them grow, for ’tis the eve of spring. The winter’s clouds shall be no more, the angels now shall sing.
Come forth now Holy saints of God in robe so pure and white. Come and sing now for the Lamb of God, this new song sweet and right. Oh, darkest night where is your might, for God does drive you away. God’s sun does come with radiance, that precious light of day. Shall not God’s seed be born again, through winter they did sleep, did not God set a seal upon his holy ones to keep.
The bride does wait she is the earth, the groom he is the sun. He shall kiss her face with golden light, and they two shall become as one. A river shall flow from God above, from heaven it shall roll. It shall run through pesters filled with love, to every heart and soul.
Throughout the night our hearts did thirst and long to see God’s light. We knew that when God’s sun did come, it would end our dismal plight. The winters frost did kill all life, yet did the strong survive. God who knew this time would come, did keep his saints alive.
From dawn to dusk I stood and watched beholding angels pure. A golden seal they had in hand, to make God’s saints secure. God is the dawn of every man, the beginning of his day. When the days of a man have been far spent, at dusk my God shall pay.
Alas, the dawn does come with power, alas great light I see. At last the holy saints of God shall from sin be set free. Come now, oh holy son of God, come and purge the earth below. Come and bring your angels from on high to let your power flow.
Now shall the earth be filled with power, now shall the saints rejoice; now we God’s people shall praise his name with every blessed voice. No more shall we have need of food or any earthly thing. Now all substance we shall find in God and that through Christ our king.
The darkness shall slowly fad away, and then shall the sun appear. The saints of God shall walk in light no more the dark to fear. The holy city shall then come down, and be unto Christ a bride. In it the streets of gold are found and his saint shall live inside. Then we shall count the days from dawn to dusk until the days are done. Henceforth the years shall be no more, and every day as one.
Awaken fair flower and blossom out, come and share this day with me. We shall run in fields of green, green grass, and rest beneath a tree. This tree it is the tree of life her fruit now sweet and ripe. They did spring forth in just one day, brought forth by radiant light. In her leaves shall the nations be reborn; in Christ shall they find peace. No more by war shall they be torn, henceforth shall fighting cease.
The morn does come and God with it, and Christ he is the sun; we shall live inside the son of God, and with him become as one. Come and live inside God’s holy city, and taste the tree of life. Come and share with God his blessed peace, come and see his holy bride. No more shall the evil, darkness be found, ...
