Die Publikation versammelt ausgewählte Beiträge des XI. NBGT 2018 in Kopenhagen aus den Bereichen germanistische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft sowie literaturwissenschaftliche Didaktik. Die Beiträge behandeln, teils in ihren regionalen Bezügen, aktuelle theoretische, methodische, komparatistische sowie angewandt-didaktische Fragestellungen. Dies geschieht stets in direktem Bezug zu international geführten Fachdiskussionen, weshalb der Band auch über die nordischen und baltischen Länder hinaus Bedeutung hat.
