While Brisbane's CBD obsesses with trade and governance, cross-river South Bank dedicates itself to cultural institutions and the finer things in life. Adding a deep shade of green are the South Park Parklands, a riverside oasis of beachside lounging and weekend market stalls. MWhile South Bank is all about major sights, West End's forte is its eclectic street life, bars, shops and live music. Start in the former, crossing over from central Brisbane on the striking Kurilpa Bridge. A quick walk away are the epic murals of the Pillars Project.
