Die Untersuchung liefert im Rahmen der Aufarbeitung der nationalsozialistischen Vergangenheit der Christian-Albrechts-UniversitĂ€t zu Kiel neue Erkenntnisse ĂŒber das Kunsthistorische Institut der CAU und das Engagement seiner Ordinarien Arthur Haseloff und Richard Sedlmaier im NS-Staat. HierfĂŒr beleuchtet die Studie nicht nur die Biographien der Akteure, sondern analysiert u.a. auch deren Lehrveranstaltungen und ihr Mitwirken in NS-spezifischen Forschungsprojekten. Diese Betrachtungen werden um die Untersuchung der wissenschaftlichen Publikationen der Akteure ergĂ€nzt, so dass ein umfassender Einblick in die Verstrickung der universalistisch und international ausgerichteten Fachdisziplin der Kunstgeschichte in die Ideologisierungsprojekte des nationalsozialistischen Regimes erfolgt.
