About this book

Das Immermann-Jahrbuch stellt sich die Aufgabe, Leben und Werk von Carl Leberecht Immermann durch neue Untersuchungen zu erforschen und die Position des Autors in der Übergangszeit zwischen Romantik und Realismus zu bestimmen. Daß das Jahrbuch auch ein Forum für literatur- und kulturgeschichtliche Beiträge der Zeit zwischen 1815 und 1840 sein soll, folgt aus Immermanns bedeutender Stellung im Literaturbetrieb der Zeit sowie seinen verschiedenen Interessengebieten (Literatur, Geschichte, Malerei, bildende Kunst, Rechtswissenschaft).
