About This Book

Eine umfassende Erhebung zum Richterinnenanteil an Schweizer Gerichten fehlt bislang. Die vorliegende Dissertation schliesst diese ForschungslĂŒcke. Dazu wurde bei 165 eidgenössischen und kantonalen Gerichten eine Umfrage betreffend Frauenanteil und Teilzeitarbeit unter Richterinnen und Richtern durchgefĂŒhrt. Diese Publikation prĂ€sentiert zunĂ€chst die Frauenanteile an den untersuchten Gerichten unter BerĂŒcksichtigung des BeschĂ€ftigungsgrads der Richterinnen und Richter. Anschliessend interpretiert sie die Ergebnisse nach verschiedenen Blickpunkten. In einem zweiten Schritt untersucht das Werk internationale, nationale und kantonale Rechtsnormen auf die Frage hin, ob sich daraus Anforderungen bezĂŒglich bestimmter GeschlechterverhĂ€ltnisse ableiten lassen. Es folgt eine Auslegeordnung möglicher Massnahmen, die den Richterinnenanteil an Gerichten erhöhen könnten. Schliesslich werden Folgerungen fĂŒr Schweizer Gerichte gezogen und zielfĂŒhrende Frauenförderungsmassnahmen ausgewĂ€hlt.
