Débute alors pour l'auteure un long chemin: de la douleur de voir son pÚre conscient mais privé de mots à l'espoir de communiquer à nouveau avec lui, autrement. Comment? Par une danse: le tango. Elle découvre ce mode d'expression corporelle alors qu'elle termine ses études en Argentine. Là-bas, elle se forme auprÚs du Dr Federico Trossero, médecin psychiatre argentin, et pÚre de la "Tangothérapie". La lecture de ce livre emmÚne ainsi le lecteur sur ce parcours unique, au cours duquel douleur et désespoir vont peu à peu se convertir en impuissance et frustration, avant de parvenir - non sans un certain étonnement de sa part - à une force motivationnelle aussi puissante qu'inespérée, un relatif soulagement et beaucoup d'espérance. Et au-delà de cette histoire personnelle, cet ouvrage narre la mise en oeuvre de la "tangothérapie" en Italie et en Argentine, comme un espoir offert à tous ceux à qui les mots viennent à manquer.
