In this study attempt was made to develop enzymatic and immunological methods for qualitative and quantitative detection of Septoria tritici and Stagonospora nodorum, which cause blotch diseases of wheat. Production of hydrolytic enzymes of both fungi was studied in vitro and in planta. Fungicide effects on Septoria leaf diseases by measuring enzyme activities were assessed, and specific fungicide effects as well as varietal resistances of wheat and triticale against S. tritici or S. nodorum were measured in field trials of two years by BA-ELISAs.
