About This Book
The proceedings deal with regional security interdependence. It is an important part of contemporary security studies, where the theories of regional security complex and international interdependence were elaborated. Approaches used in these proceedings are integrating both the above mentioned concepts. Papers are focused on two main areas – interregional interdependence in Middle East and Central Asia and in East and Central Europe. Broad spectrum of contemporary security threats and issues is analysed – foreign policy, guerrilla warfare, terrorism, energy security, nuclear proliferation etc. Authors are connected with strategic and security studies at the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of the Social Studies of the Masaryk University.
