Three chapters organise her films and career around the kinds of cinema that she promoted: 'psychological', 'pure' and 'documentary'. The conclusion contrasts Dulac's contributions with those of Alice Guy BlachĂ©, another early woman film pioneer, highlighting their differing paths to recognition.
