"Jødeparagraffen". Det var politikerslang for den paragraf, der blev vedtaget af Folketinget i marts 1939. Paragraffen var nemlig tĂŚnkt som et vĂŚrn mod den nazistiske antisemitisme, der føg op over den danske grĂŚnse. I ĂĽrene forinden var en rĂŚkke aktivister blevet dømt for at have hĂĽnet den "jødiske race" ved at kalde dem parasitter, rentehajer og pestbylder. FĂĽ troede pĂĽ disse myter, men justitsministeren fandt dem farlige for demokratiet. Hans svar blev § 266 b, i daglig tale kaldt racismeparagraffen. Den gjorde racistiske ytringer strafbare â hvilket har vĂŚret kontroversielt lige siden. For hvor meget kan man egentlig begrĂŚnse demokrati og ytringsfrihed i forsøget pĂĽ at beskytte begge dele?
