Durrheim, Mtose and Brown, leading authors in their field, develop a theory of the production of racially troubled identities by way of an analysis of discourse, spaces and routines for perpetuating segregation and inequality. They argue that these practices and identities are better analysed in terms of their architecture and choreography than glossed as racism.
