Daher ist das Fach in hohem Maße auf eine sprachsensible Unterrichtsgestaltung angewiesen, bietet zugleich aber besondere Chancen fĂŒr die Förderung bildungssprachlicher Kompetenzen. Dieser Band ist Ergebnis einer Fachtagung des Arbeitskreises "Empirische Geschichtsunterrichtsforschung" der Konferenz fĂŒr Geschichtsdidaktik (KGD). Er stellt den aktuellen Forschungsstand vor und fördert die interdisziplinĂ€re Vernetzung. Unter den PrĂ€missen von Mehrsprachigkeit und HeterogenitĂ€t im Klassenraum und der Bedeutung von Sprache im Fach Geschichte wird das Thema Sprachsensibler Geschichtsunterricht theoretisch beleuchtet, anhand empirischer Forschungsarbeiten vertieft und bezogen auf die unterrichtliche Praxis konkretisiert.
