Der Titel der Ausstellung «Roads not Taken» im Deutschen Historischen Museum, zu der hier das Begleitbuch vorliegt, ist programmatisch zu verstehen. Nach einem Konzept des Historikers Dan Diner werfen die Autorinnen und Autoren – allesamt ausgewiesene Expertinnen und Experten – den Blick auf mögliche historische Alternativen: Welche unerwarteten ZufĂ€lle hĂ€tten das historische Geschehen verĂ€ndern können? Welche Rolle spielten Personen bei diesen Ereignissen?
