Legal Framework for Home Economics Education
Foundations for High-Quality Teaching and Learning
About this book
The purpose of this first part of the trilogy is to identify and analyse the legal framework factors that influence learning in the school subject of Home Economics in Sweden. It examines how these factors affect teaching practices and how pedagogy can align with the requirements set by the new curriculum for compulsory schools (Lgr22) from 2022, as well as other mandatory frameworks. The goal is to provide an overview of the subject and its framework factors in relation to key legislation, including the Education Act, the Work Environment Act, food legislation, the Environmental Code, and relevant EU regulations. This book will be followed by the other parts of the trilogy, Framework Factors in Home Economics Education: Book II: Material Framework for Home Economics and Book III: Structural Framework for Home Economics
