Author
Dr. Jeffrey Johnson is a dedicated expositor, and Bible teacher with expertise in Jewish roots of Christianity, the Middle East, and theology. Dr. Jeff is the founder and president of Israel Today Ministries. He’s a teacher, pastor, religious writer, adjunct professor and humanitarian feeding thousands in the Middle East. His books and articles address the Jewish roots of Christianity, biblical prophecy, theology, and adventure.
Dr. Jeff has an intense love for Israel and her Messiah. He is motivated by intellectual curiosity, devotion to historic biblical truth and spiritual awareness. He passionately emphasizes, “As you bless one child, it is as though you are blessing Messiah himself” (Matthew 25:40; Proverbs 14:21).

A Kiss from God
This is the cry of the bride—a desire for more of the Beloved, a desire for intimacy. The Shulamite maiden (Israel, the Bride of Messiah, the individual soul for whom Messiah died) is speaking here. She is not satisfied with relationship at a distance. She desires close contact. Kissing only occurs in close, face-to-face relationships.
The Scripture tells us that God spoke to Moses p’anim al p’anim, face to face suggesting intimacy (Exod. 33:11). He spoke to the people of Israel at various times and in different ways throughout the prophets. But in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son, Yeshua (Hebrews 1:1, 2).1
