With the adoption of its 2005 Action Plan, the European Commission has launched a major reform of its State Aid policy. New Rules on research and development and innovation, risk capital, regional policy and services of general economic interest have recently been adopted. This book explains in detail the substance and procedure established by the EU Treaty rules on State Aid, as well as covering these major changes.
