Questo dizionario è stato catalogato sulla base delle teorie di Giuseppe Crispi (professore di letteratura greca antica presso l'Università di Palermo), che ha intuito il potenziale della lingua albanese (o Epirota come viene comunemente chiamato), anni prima che venisse annoverato tra le lingue indo-europea. Sostiene la sua analisi nel libro "Memory on the Albanian Language" pubblicato a Palermo nel 1831, argomentando alla fine che sarebbe utile formare un dizionario dei molti monosillabi di cui è composta la lingua.

Profs. Of ancient Greek literature at the University of Palermo, rector of the Palermo

seminary and titular bishop of Lampsaco from 1836 until his death on 10 September

in 1859.

This dictionary was inspired by the ideas of Giuseppe Crispi, and his book "Memory

on the Albanian Language" published in Palermo in 1831 and republished by the

Kessinger publishing house in 2010. In this book, He argued, how the Epirus

language had traits in common with all ancient languages such as Aramaic, Latin,

Etruscan, Phrygian, Ancient Macedonian and Ancient Greek.

He also stated that, if not all the words of the Greek language, most of them

originated from the Albanian language (or epirus as it often calls). He claims that this

language is very similar to the Hebrew language because of its form and

composition, but that it is of an even more primitive nature precisely because of the

many words that are expressed simply with syllables.

Crispi concludes his work by explaining that he is pleased to have demonstrated the

antiquity of the Albanian language, and states that it would be very useful to form a

dictionary with the syllables of the Albanian language with which it could better

define the meaning of many Greek words and Latin. Thus leaving the second part of

the work to those who had the interest and time.

What Crispi never managed to observe not having completed the work that he had

started, and that through this dictionary syllabic, one can guess that probably there

are not two different languages, but only different degrees of evolution of a single

language.

The Albanian language could be only one of the least evolved and modified forms of

Indo-European, and this mechanism is valid for all those languages defined Indo- European as well as Italian is the evolved form of Latin.

Since the Indo-Europeans, the words have not changed, simply the new groups or

families have had a different technological and conceptual evolution, which led

them to create new terms based on the main ones, which (main terms) fell disused

as working tools that are replaced by new ones and that are forgotten with time.
