Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Syntax der gesprochenen Sprache, auch wenn ein ausschließlich syntaktischer Blick auf sprachliche Strukturen der interaktionalen Praxis nicht sinnvoll ist und deshalb durch semantisch-pragmatische Überlegungen, sequenzielle Gliederungsmerkmale und prosodische Abschnittsbildung ergänzt wird. Dadurch wird ein wichtiger Beitrag zu einer realistischen, prozessorientierten und interaktionsbezogenen Beschreibung der gesprochenen Sprache geleistet.
