Merkmalsgeometrie, Autosegmentale Phonologie und OptimalitĂ€tstheorie sowie im Bereich der Prosodie das Autosegmental-MetrischeModell der Intonationsforschung und verschiedene Analyseverfahren zum Sprachrhythmus) verknĂŒpft wird.Spanisch wird dabei nicht als homogene Sprache aufgefasst, sondern der europĂ€ische Standard (kastilische Normaussprache) wird gleichberechtigt mit anderen VarietĂ€ten (v. a. aus Lateinamerika) behandelt. Den romanischen Hintergrund bilden die nachbarsprachen Portugiesisch und Katalanisch, aber auch französisch und Italienisch werden vergleichend herangezogen, wĂ€hrend als Kontrastfolie das Deutsche dient. Auf diese Weise ergeben sich vielfĂ€ltige varietĂ€tenlinguistische und sprachvergleichende Einblicke in die lautliche Struktur und Entwicklung des Spanischen.
