Das zunächst spontane Erkennen ähnlicher Wörter, Endungen oder Satzstrukturen lässt sich in speziellen Lesekursen, aber auch im Selbststudium gezielt trainieren und in wenigen Monaten zu einer Lesekompetenz in der fremden Slavine ausbauen. Neben einer theoretischen Einführung in das Thema Interkomprehension bietet dieses Lehrbuch praktische Anleitungen, vergleichende Tabellen und Wortlisten sowie Übungen für Lesekurse mit den Brücken- und/oder Zielsprachen Bosnisch-Kroatisch-Serbisch, Polnisch, Tschechisch, Russisch und Ukrainisch. Das Sprachmaterial wurde von MuttersprachlerInnen und lesekurserfahrenen LektorInnen zusammengestellt. Ein Glossar und online verfügbare Audiodateien mit Aussprachebeispielen und Vertonungen der Lesetexte ergänzen das Buch.
