In Bezug auf Gerichtsvorstellungen ist die Endzeitrede der wohl wirkmĂ€chtigste biblische Text. Die interdisziplinĂ€r angelegte Arbeit untersucht diesen als Rede Jesu stilisierten Text aus narratologischer und intertextueller Perspektive. In einem zweiten Schritt wird die Rezeption ihrer Gerichtsvorstellungen in Liedern des Evangelischen Gesangbuchs untersucht: Wie werden sie in den Liedtexten gedeutet, welche Aspekte werden betont, welche werden ignoriert oder verfĂ€lscht? DafĂŒr werden zunĂ€chst theologische und anthropologische Aspekte gottesdienstlichen Singens erörtert und das Gerichtsthema in das Kirchenjahr eingeordnet. Nach einem rubrikengeschichtlichen Ăberblick werden sieben Lieder ebenfalls aus narratologischer und intertextueller Perspektive analysiert. In diesen Analysen kommt auch die VerĂ€nderungsgeschichte der Lieder und ihre Wirkpotentiale im Gottesdienst und im Kirchenjahr in den Blick. Die Arbeit verbindet somit neutestamentliche, hymnologische und praktisch-theologische Perspektiven und ist fĂŒr Wissenschaft und kirchliche Praxis gleichermaĂen relevant.
