Das Vorlesen gilt sowohl in der Forschung als auch in der Praxis als ein Interaktionsformat, das die kindliche Entwicklung auf verschiedenste Art und Weise fördert. Entsprechend bildet das Vorlesen ein Feld, das von einer Vielzahl an Fachdisziplinen beforscht wird. Der vorliegende Band bringt elf Beiträge zusammen, die das Vorlesen nicht nur aus den unterschiedlichen Fachperspektiven heraus beleuchten, sondern auch unterschiedliche Realisierungsorte abbilden, in denen das Vorlesen praktiziert wird: Familie, Kindergarten, Schule. Dabei werden sowohl die Frage nach interaktiven Strategien beim Vorlesen, die Sprachund Literaturerwerb befördern, als auch die Frage nach der Rolle des Buches im Vorleseprozess diskutiert.
