Die Aufhebung der GeschlechterpolaritĂ€t, die Christina von Braun in ihrem Beitrag im Kursbuch 192 als gröĂte VerĂ€nderung der letzten 40 Jahre auf dem Gebiet von Geschlecht bezeichnet, stoĂe auf betrĂ€chtlichen Widerstand und zwar aus ganz unterschiedlichen Richtungen in der Gesellschaft. Er formiere sich in Kirche, Politik und Kultur ebenso wie in Wissenschaft und sogar auf feministischer Seite. Ein gemeinsamer Nenner dieses Gender-Bashings sei dabei genauso wenig auszumachen wie eine wirklich stringente Argumentation. Denn letztlich wĂŒrden diese bislang stabilen Kritikformen, die Gender kategorisch verurteilen, nur verbergen, dass in und mit ihnen immer auch ĂŒber die flexiblen Grenzen der sozialen Zugehörigkeit verhandelt wird.
