Darüber hinaus macht sie darauf aufmerksam, dass durch diese Perspektive eine Betrachtung und Analyse des Verhaltens von Kindern in einer gänzlich veränderten Welt verhindert wird. Sie entwickelt ein alternatives Verstehensmodell, das das vielschichtige Bedingungsgefüge unmittelbar mit einbezieht. So sind auch individuelle Erfahrungen und Lebensgeschichten von Kindern immer in Abhängigkeit von den gesellschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen zu sehen.
