Man stelle sich vor, Kinder lernten in der Schule, dass man sich nicht richtig zuhört, dass man die Argumente der anderen plattmacht und die eigenen nicht belegen muss. Das fände wohl niemand gut. Doch laufen Debatten über die "richtige" Bildung oft so ab. Was soll in der Schule vermittelt werden? Sind die Klassen zu groß? Machen zu viele Abitur? Ist der Bildungsföderalismus noch zeitgemäß? Das sind wichtige Fragen - über die leider mit viel Schaum vor dem Mund und allzu rechthaberisch diskutiert wird. Was und wie soll in der Schule gelernt werden? Die Schule ist der Ort der Allgemeinbildung, nicht der Vorbereitung auf einen bestimmten Beruf. Doch sollte in ihr die Basis für eine spätere berufliche Qualifikation gelegt werden. Da rücken zwei Fächer in den Blick: Informatik und Wirtschaft. Es gibt gute Gründe, sie als Pflichtfächer zu etablieren. Doch was soll dafür wegfallen?
