Dies hat deutliche Auswirkungen auf die Leitung von Schulen.In "Schulleitung" werden Konzepte, Erfahrungen, Reflexion und Analysen zu Kontexten, Bedingungen, Anforderungen, Rollen und Aufgaben von Schulleitung für eine adäquate Unterstützung und Qualifikation in internationalen Beiträgen vorgestellt. Es wurden Beispiele aus Ländern ausgewählt, in welchen die Verlagerung von Entscheidungen an lokale und regionale Strukturen im Vergleich zur österreichischen Situation schon weiter voran getrieben wurde (Norwegen und Dänemark) oder wo traditionell autonome Entscheidungsstrukturen bestehen (Irland) bzw. wo in den letzten Jahren eine starke externe Qualitätskontrolle durch Inspektion eingeführt wurde (England).
