Die wissenschaftliche Forschung zur Berichterstattung ĂŒber Skandale fokussiert bisher zumeist auf Einzelfallstudien zu großen SkandalfĂ€llen. Um die Berichterstattung auch auf breiter Basis zu erfassen, beschreibt die vorliegende Dissertation die Darstellung und die Strukturen der medialen Skandalisierung im Zeitraum eines Jahres in drei Tageszeitungen anhand von "Skandalfaktoren". Als theoretische Grundlage greift sie dabei auf die Nachrichtenwert- und auf die Skandalforschung zurĂŒck. Die Befunde ermöglichen einen neuartigen Blick auf die Skandalberichterstattung, indem sie unter anderem zeigen, dass NormĂŒberschreitungen unerwartet hĂ€ufig thematisiert werden und inhaltlich vielfĂ€ltig sind. Als ersten BegrĂŒndungsansatz fĂŒr die Berichterstattungsstrukturen beinhaltet die Arbeit zudem eine Befragungsstudie zu Motiven fĂŒr Skandalisierung in Tageszeitungsredaktionen.
