Seit Anfang 2010 vom ebenfalls jesuitischen Berliner Canisius-Kolleg aus die Welle der Missbrauchsvorwürfe bundesweit Schulen ergriff, steckt auch das Bonner Ako in seiner bislang schwersten Krise. Zahllose Fälle in 40 Jahren wurden aufgedeckt. Das Ako wurde zur einzigen Schule, bei der massive Vorwürfe gegen einen langjährigen Internats- und Schulleiter auch zur strafrechtlichen Verfolgung führten. Gegen einen anderen mutmaßlichen Täter ermittelt die Bonner Staatsanwaltschaft noch immer. Der Band bietet erstmals Innenansichten. Er referiert den aktuellen Stand der Aufklärung und Aufarbeitung, dabei kommen insbesondere Opfer und Angehörige, aber auch Orden, Kolleg, Politik u. a. zu Wort.
