Regelmäßig handelt es sich dabei um Rechte auf abgesonderte Befriedigung aus dem bei der Verwertung des Sicherungsgutes erzielten Erlös; haftungsrechtlich kann aber auch ein Aussonderungsrecht vorliegen. Die Neuauflage vollzieht die Ausformung des Rechts der Kreditsicherheiten in der Insolvenz durch die höchstrichterliche Rechtsprechung nach. Dabei wird besonders auf die Entwicklung durch das ESUG eingegangen. Kreditsicherheiten im Regelinsolvenzverfahren werden ebenso behandelt wie deren Bedeutung im Insolvenzplanverfahren und im Verfahren der Eigenverwaltung des Schuldners wie in grenzüberschreitenden Insolvenzverfahren.
