I successivi tre saggi, scritti da Guglielmo Piombini, analizzano i successi dall'austro-liberalismo nel confronto con i suoi avversari storici: il socialismo e l'interventismo statale di tipo keynesiano. L'ultimo saggio tratta invece dell'utilità pratica, per la gestione delle finanze personali, delle teorie dell'economia austriaca che sono riuscite ad anticipare e a spiegare le cause delle recenti crisi finanziarie molto meglio dei dominanti modelli neoclassici.
