Si è appena conclusa, all’inizio del 2014, la nuova edizione critica di tutti gli Scritti di Kierkegaard (editi ed inediti): Søren Kierkegaards Skrifter [= SKS], 55 voll., a cura di N.J. Cappelørn - J. Garff - J. Kondrup - T.A. Olesen - S. Tullberg, Søren Kierkegaard Forskningscenteret-Gad, Copenaghen 1997-2014. L’insieme si compone di 28 volumi di testi e 27 volumi di apparati critici per ciascun volume. Tutti i volumi sono disponibili anche in forma elettronica all’indirizzo: www.sks.dk.
Kierkegaard lasciò una considerevole mole di scritti comprendenti opere inedite o rimaste incompiute, un insieme di annotazioni [Journaler] per decine di migliaia di pagine comprendenti elementi diaristici, letture fatte, citazioni, motti, osservazioni sulla letteratura contemporanea, puntualizzazioni filosofiche e teologiche, ecc.
Parte di questo materiale inedito è stato pubblicato una prima volta in Af Søren Kierkegaards Efterladte Papirer [Dalle carte postume di SK] a cura di H.P. Barford e H. Gottsched, 8 voll., Reitzel, Copenaghen 1869-1881. La raccolta completa è apparsa in Søren Kierkegaards Papirer [Carte di SK], 2a ed., 16 voll., 25 tomi, rist. a cura di P.A. Heiberg - V. Kuhr - E. Torsting, con aumenti a cura di N. Thulstrup (voll. 12-13) e indici a cura di N.J. Cappelørn (voll. 14-16), Gyldendal, Copenaghen 1968-78). Questa raccolta in italiano viene impropriamente indicata anche come «Il Diario» di Kierkegaard. Invero la parte propriamente diaristica ne costituisce solo una sezione, la A. Il primo numero (romano) indica il tomo, l’eventuale secondo numero (arabo) il tomo, la lettera è per la sezione, l’ultimo numero arabo è quello dato dai curatori al singolo brano.
