Si tratta di una realtà scientifico-divulgativa di importanza mondiale per l'unicità di alcune sue collezioni che ha come obiettivo quello di interfacciarsi con la realtà tecnologica del web 2.0 sia a scopo divulgativo sia a scopo più squisitamente scientifico e didattico.
