I Codici diventano quasi un genere letterario, appartenente al vasto filone della letteratura popolare. Fin dalla fine dell'Ottocento, vengono trascritti su innocui quaderni, in grafie svolazzanti, mentre oggi su fogli a righe o block notes, utilizzando, talvolta, simboli crittografici trovati in rete.
La 'Ndrangheta è la più potente delle associazioni criminali, si è estesa al nord e oltreoceano, si è evoluta, ma i suoi Codici vengono ancora tramandati.
