Desde el fasciculo n.9/2000 se convirtiĂł en revista del Departamento de Ciencias LingĂŒĂsticas de la UniversitĂ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore bajo la direcciĂłn del Prof. Dante Liano, CatedrĂĄtico de Lengua y Literatura Hispanoamericana de dicha universidad.
La temĂĄtica de «Centroamericana» se centra en problemas lingĂŒĂsticos, literarios y culturales de los paĂses de CentroamĂ©rica y de las Antillas. Se publica en dos fascĂculos anuales.
Desde el duodĂ©cimo volumen la revista se publica a travĂ©s del Servizio Editoriale de EDUCatt â Ente per il diritto allo studio dell'UniversitĂ Cattolica.
