Während im kollektiven Gedächtnis der betroffenen Länder immer noch die alten Denkmuster vom "italienischen Verrat" bzw. vom "gerechten Krieg" vorherrschen, bemühen sich italienische, deutsche und österreichische Historiker endlich gemeinsam um ein differenziertes Bild. Dieser Sammelband diskutiert die Ursachen und Wirkungen des italienischen Intervento von 1915 in neuer Sicht und leistet damit einen Beitrag zum wissenschaftlichen Dialog zwischen den ehemaligen Kriegsgegnern, der noch längst nicht beendet ist.
